The Small Computer System Interface—popularly called the
“skuh’-zee” port—is a parallel interface design that provides high-speed access to peripheral devices.
Another advantage of SCSI devices is that they can be
“daisy chained”; that is, connected in a string rather than each having to be attached to the computer itself. Thus,
the single SCSI connector on a Macintosh computer can support up to seven SCSI devices.
